The term used for information and education in counselling and psychotherapy is Psycho-Social Education. You may have already tried to resolve or work through your problems. Below are a number of websites which I use with my clients which they have found helpful.  

NHS mental health – this website is a useful tool to look at feeling symptoms, and behaviours about stress, anxiety, and low mood. It offers a 5-step approach to mental wellbeing and breathing exercises. There is a depression and anxiety self-assessment questionnaire. https://www.nhs.uk/mental-health/

You may be curious if this is your first time in counselling what it might feel like.
